The Museo del Cognome ended its business trip in Brindisi, Apulia Region.
We deepened the investigation by checking dozens of old books kept at the State Archive and Diocesan Archive. We figured out information dated back to 1500.
A great thank goes to the employees of both archives for their help.
The Museo del Cognome was born in 2012 as a one-of-a-kind place. It is located on the ground floor of a 1700 building. Its interiors show a specific didactic itinerary to learn more about genealogy. It is also the seat of a professional team led by Michele Cartusciello, genealogist and manager of the museum. The whole team offers several services in the ambit of family history research.
