Finally, after two years of the pandemic, our Ancestors Tours started up again!
Last weekend we had the pleasure to host and guide Maria Giotis, who is from New Jersey, USA, got to Sassano for the first time to learn more about her family history.
Her great-grandparents, Angelo Maria D’Alessio-Arcangela Calandriello, and Giuseppe Biancamano-Chiara Zozzaro, were all born in Sassano (Salerno) in the second half of the 1800s. Then, they left their native hometown and moved to the USA, where Gennaro Peter Dalessio and Christine Biancamano (her #grandparents) were born.
It was a moving experience for all of us!
