His quest to learn more about his family history and to create his family tree brought him to so many among town hall offices, parish and state archives. His lifetime dream came true in 2012 when he started theMuseodelCognome. The Museum is a one-of-a-kind place in the world, located right in the old town centre of Padula. Above all, it isan educational place, where you might follow an itinerary specifically designed to help you take the first steps with your family history research.
An unshakeable dreamer, he’s always been such a huge lover of ancients and of everything reminding him about the past. Absolutely passionate about whatever sounds or tastes like “international” and an avid foreign languages learner, he holds a degree in International Relations and European Studies. Back in 2006, he started making his first steps in the genealogy field - such a mutual love that he’s so enthusiastically turned out to be his lifetime dream job, where both his fascinations for languages and history would perfectly merge. All along tiny old streets and alleys, within the stunning off-the-beaten-path towns of Italy, his work takes him to so many among civil and church archives on a daily basis, so to make the dream come true for all those people of Italian descent willing to tie themselves back to their roots. At the beginning of 2016, he founded Bella Italia Genealogy, a family history services firm which aims to bring about a straight approach to genealogy, by the exclusive use of on-site Italian sources – hence the company’s popular motto “your Roots on the Ground experience”

Martina wants to live in a world filled up with creativity, books that come bundled with extra dark chocolate and music that you can smell in the air at every single corner (fantasy, would you say? Well, it’s just a matter of time).
